A Convergence of Academic Excellence and Authority

Ms. Min Liu, Founder and Chair of Nice Talent Asset Management (NTAM), recently visited Korea as a distinguished member of the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) delegation. This mission facilitated a high-level convergence of global political wisdom and financial expertise, featuring exclusive meetings with the 17th President of Korea, Lee Myung-bak, and the current Prime Minister, Kim Min-seok.

Dialogue with Lee Myung-bak: The Essence of Entrepreneurial Leadership

On March 17, Ms. Liu met with the 17th President of Korea, Lee Myung-bak, at his Seocho-dong office. Surrounded by historic photographs of his engagements with world leaders, President Lee emphasized the importance of the "Entrepreneurial Spirit" in governance. He noted that his background as a former businessman allowed him to prioritize "Common Interests" over ideology—a pragmatic approach that resonates with Ms. Liu’s philosophy for NTAM: prioritizing long-term value creation for clients over short-term market noise.

Alumni Connection with PM Kim Min-seok: Resilience and Hong Kong’s Future

On March 21, 2026, at the National Assembly of Korea, Ms. Liu engaged in a profound dialogue with the current Prime Minister, Kim Min-seok. As fellow Harvard MPA alumni (PM Kim, Class of ’95), they shared a unique intellectual bond.

With a background spanning Harvard, Tsinghua University, and a J.D. as a U.S. licensed attorney, PM Kim’s journey from a student leader to a national statesman exemplifies resilience. They discussed Korea's evolution into a global tech powerhouse and navigated complex topics such as AI governance and demographic shifts. Regarding Hong Kong, PM Kim shared that his daughter is currently studying at the University of Hong Kong, benefiting from the city’s "educational dividend," and expressed firm confidence in the city’s continued prosperity.

Prime Minister Kim expressed deep admiration for Ms. Liu’s strategic business mindset and NTAM’s unique "Success-Linked" model. He reaffirmed that modern leadership is a reflection of one’s values. This meeting not only strengthened their professional bond but also opened the door for potential future collaborations between NTAM and Korean entities regarding global asset strategy and sustainable governance.

The Value of Hong Kong Family Offices — A Bridge Between China and the World

As global dynamics grow increasingly complex, Hong Kong’s value as a premier hub for family offices has become even more pronounced. Ms. Liu’s mission to South Korea reaffirms that a family office equipped with international political networks and robust research capabilities is the ultimate choice for Mainland and global clients to protect and pass on their wealth. Hong Kong is not only a beneficiary of educational and regulatory dividends but also a gateway connecting global capital with opportunity. NTAM will continue to leverage our Chairwoman’s visionary leadership to secure growth and preserve legacy for global family clients in these volatile times.
